Definitions
In these terms and conditions, “you” and “your” refer to all users and customers of this website and “BHA” (“we, us and our”) refers to Bridal Hire Au (ABN 67 466 714 307).
Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions before using BHA.
By hiring from BHA and accessing/using any part of the website (www.bridalhireau.com), you agree to the terms and conditions stated below.
These terms and conditions form a binding legal contract between you and BHA. BHA reserves the right to cancel your rental privileges at any time if you breach this agreement or for any other reason.
BHA reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at its sole discretion. You are responsible for ensuring you are aware and agree to comply with the current terms and conditions. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting on the website.
BHA reserves the right to charge additional fees and change prices at their discretion where they deem necessary.
Payment Terms
The "hire fee" includes garment hire, postage costs, and any additional charges listed on the website for your rental. By making a booking, you authorise BHA to charge your payment method the hire fee. Additionally, you authorise BHA to charge your payment method up to 100% of a garment’s retail value if you do not meet your commitments outlined in these terms and conditions. The retail value of each garment is listed on our website. If an invoice is issued for any reason, payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Garment Ownership
You agree and acknowledge that garment hire is for a limited time (4 days). The garment is and will at all times remain the absolute property of BHA.
Hire Period
The hire period is inclusive of the delivery and return dates. For example, if the delivery date is Friday, the return date is the following Monday. If your garment(s) arrives early, the return date does not change. You are responsible for selecting the delivery date.
Delivery
All orders are shipped from Queensland via Australia Post using their express service. BHA charges a flat rate of $30, which will be added at checkout. This includes delivery to you and a pre-filled return satchel or postage box.
We aim to deliver rentals early to avoid delays. Your garment(s) may arrive before the delivery date. Your hire period will not change if the garment(s) arrive early.
You agree to provide an address where the parcel can be left safely, or someone can accept it up to 7 days before the delivery date. If your delivery fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you will receive a credit note (less shipping costs) provided the dress is returned to BHA unworn and in its original condition.
We label all parcels as “authority to leave”. There is still no guarantee that they will be left without a signature. By granting us authority to leave, you release us and our couriers from all responsibility and liability for orders delivered and left unattended; this responsibility transfers to you upon delivery. If you want your parcel to be signed for, please indicate this in the delivery instructions at checkout.
Last Minute Orders
If you make a booking less than 5 full business days before the delivery date, your order is considered a “last minute order”.
Late Delivery
Australia Post has delivery timeframes that BHA are aware of and abide by however, delays can still occur that are out of BHA's control.
In the unlikely event that your garment(s) does not arrive on time to wear to your event:
- You will receive a credit note if your booking was made 5 or more full business days before the delivery date and it is returned unworn and in its original condition by the return date. No refund will be granted.
- The hire fee will be forfeited and you will not receive a credit note or refund if your booking was made less than 5 full business days before the delivery date (last minute order).
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method(s) used for the order. If you paid with multiple forms of payment, each will be refunded according to the amount paid.
Refunds are not provided for change of mind. If you do change your mind before your event, please email contact@bridalhireau.com to discuss the possibility of a credit note or garment change.
Incorrect or Faulty Garments
If the garment(s) delivered is incorrect please email contact@bridalhireau.com immediately. We will do our best to correct the error and send a replacement.
If the garment(s) is correct but has other issues (e.g., damage, faults, or noticeable stains), please email contact@bridalhireau.com within 24 hours of delivery and prior to wear. If you don't inform us within this timeframe, we reserve the right to refuse a refund as it will not be clear when the damage was caused or by who.
Refunds will not be approved for issues considered minor or insignificant. You acknowledge that our garments are not brand new and show signs of wear and tear.
In most cases you will be required to wait for the item to be returned and assessed before a refund is approved and processed. If approved, you will receive a refund inclusive of postage costs.
Garment Sizing/Fit
We try to provide detailed information about the fit of the garments available for hire on our website. We take no responsibility if an item does not fit or suit you. If an item does not fit or suit you, please email contact@bridalhireau.com within 24 hours of delivery. We will issue a credit note (less shipping costs) if the dress is returned unworn and in its original condition by the return date.
Cancellations
Please email contact@bridalhireau.com to cancel your order. If the hired item(s) hasn’t been posted, you are entitled to a full credit note. If the hired item(s) has been posted, you are entitled to a credit note less shipping costs - the item(s) must be returned unworn and in its original condition by the return date. Credit notes are valid for 3 years. No refund will be granted for cancellations.
BHA reserves the right to cancel a booking at short notice. Reasons for cancellation may include (but are not limited to) an item not being available due to a late return or damage. If we cancel your order, you will receive a refund, credit note or the option to book another garment of similar value.
Returns
A pre-paid return satchel will be provided with your hire. If your hire was sent in a box, place it back in the box and stick the return label straight over the existing one.
You agree to return the hired item(s) on or before the return date. The return date is specified on your order confirmation as well as the Thank You card.
To avoid late fees, we recommend returning your item(s) at an Australia Post store, where it will be scanned over the counter as proof of lodgement. This will ensure you are not held responsible for late fees if the item is lodged on the return date.
Alternatively, you can place the return parcel in a yellow Australia Post post box at your own risk. If the parcel is lost and never scanned by Australia Post, you will be liable for replacement of the garment(s). If the item arrives back much later than expected, the date of the first scan on the tracking information will be used as the lodgement date when calculating late fees.
If your return date falls on a Sunday or public holiday, you may post the item(s) on the next working day without incurring late fees.
If you lose your pre-paid return satchel or box, it is your responsibility to return the garment(s) via trackable express post. You must email contact@bridalhireau.com for the address.
Cleaning
Cleaning is included in your hire fee and you agree no attempts will be made to clean, alter, iron or press garment(s).
All garments are steamed before being sent; however, they may become creased during shipping. Some fabrics are more prone to wrinkling. If you receive a dress with slight creases, we recommend steaming it on low heat or hanging it in a bathroom. Please note that refunds or credit notes will not be provided for creased items.
BHA is not liable for any health-related complaints associated with our garments. You acknowledge that our items have been worn by other customers before your rental.
Damage or Loss
If you notice any damage (such as stains or rips) when your garment(s) arrives, please take photos of the damage and email
BHA offers free damage insurance for minor damage up to the value of $50. If the repair cost exceeds $50, you will be responsible for paying the difference. If BHA determines (at its sole discretion) that an item(s) is not repairable, you may be charged up to 100% of the retail value listed on our website in addition to the hire fee already paid. Dresses deemed irreparable are not covered by the $50 insurance.
You agree not to attempt to clean or repair a damaged rental item(s) yourself or have them cleaned or repaired by anyone else.
If you lose or fail to return an item(s), you will be liable for up to 100% of the retail value listed on our website in addition to the hire fee already paid.
If you lodge your return item(s) at an Australia Post store and it is lost by them, you will not incur any fees - this is why it is recommended to return hire items over the counter. If you return an item via a street box and it is not returned to us, you will be required to pay 100% of the retail value listed on our website in addition to the hire fee already paid.
Late Return
If you return your item(s) late, 20% of the hire fee will apply for each day that falls between the return date and the actual date of lodgement. Late fees will continue to accumulate until they reach a maximum of 100% of the items retail value listed on our website in addition to the hire fee already paid.
Collection
If you fail to make a payment owed to us by the due date, we may transfer your account to a collection agency which may include additional costs, such as attorney and collection fees.
Credit Notes and Gift Cards
Credit notes and gift cards are valid for 3 years.
